Hi pemasu,
Radky was correct, I had a bad iso download. I downloaded new iso and upgraded an old save file. Everything appears to be working fine. Posting from it on Laptop with 8-core processor now.
It's also working great on two desktop computers, one with 2-core processor, one with 8-core processor.
Cheers,
Jim

At SnowPuppy and IcePuppy time I used to announce that check the md5sum of the big download and especially when you download iso. I have received now several times bug reports which were due to bad download.
I think I start to remind people now on about md5sum check again.
Thank you Jim1911. I already checked the iwlwifi firmware content and to be sure created a pet which contains the iwlwifi firmwares. It looks like I dont have to upload it. Lol.

Guess my hardware is just too old for Exprimo.
Exprimo 5.X.3.2.11 live pfix=ram. Sound and internet working but booted to a black screen with "monitor out of range" message.Ctrl/alt/bkspc to xorgwizard to get desired 1366x768.
Youtube-viewer still a no go.

James C. I noticed that Dpup seems to use different gtkdialog-splash script than woof provides. Some pet seems to overwrite the default version. I will hunt down that pet.
Meanwhile....Install the attached pet. It will install the woof version of gtkdialog-splash over the existing one. Lets see if gtkdialog-splash behaves for you then with flashdownloader ie getflash script.

Hi Pemasu,
I appreciate very much all these Exprimo flavours.
As kernel is later than 2.6.35 and Xorg later than 1.7, the embedded wacom.ko driver is supposed to support all wacom tablets (said in linux wacom project pages).
So here is working a Bamboo tablet MTE-450 USB already connected at Exprimo installation ; this works OOTB as a mouse with "Absolute" equivalent wacom setting
Now unplugging the Bamboo tablet and hot-plugging another tablet - i.i. a Volito one -
The Volito Wacom tablet do not work at all , even after doing
My Volito is well detected: the wavom Volito is reported in both /proc/bus/input/devices and /proc/bus/usb/devices.
I compiled xf86-input-wacom-0.14 to get some extra functionnalities ... but nothing. The tablet should work without it.
I added /etc/udev/rules.d/65-wacom.rules but no result...
So, do you have any more information about some non-supported wacom tablets?
Thanks for answering.
Cheers,
Charlie

charlie6. Sorry no...Since the other wacom.ko using tablet works...missing module is not to be expected.
Have you searched with google of your nonworking tablet error infos.
If you get any clues....at least any kind which should be included...I promise to include it.
Only thing I know of...not all tablets are supported by wacom.ko.
Tablets is something I dont have any experience. You seem to be much more experienced with them.
I once compiled xinput calibrator in Dpup Exprimo 3.1.10 thread and the end result is there. I am not sure if it even works. The tester didnt succeed with it to calibrate touchscreen with it.

Hi,
(following previous post)
Thanks Pemasu and don570 for your posts.
The Volito (bought 2003) tablet now works !
Explanation: booting a new pristine (pfix=ram) Exprimo session with the Volito tablet already connected results in the Volito also working OOTB.
It seems that tablet exchange on an existing squeezesave session will result in the new plugged tablet not working, whatever hotplugging or rebooting after plugging.
This meanwhile depending on the tablet model...!
Surprisingly, hot exchanging of tablet from Volito to Bamboo MTE-450, results in Bamboo (bought 2011) working ...!
But from Bamboo to Volito does not.
Cheers
Charlie

Hi,
edited; using Galculator:
on a desktop PC + extended keyboard ( be-latin1 locale)
+ UTF-8 setting
+ NumLock box checked upon Personnalize Settings step
+ Exprimo 3.2.11 fresh installed (pfix=ram)
results in
The Numlock led is lighting
but
do not get figures nor enter nor other Numpad functions.
To get them, here have only to press the NumLock key to disable it.
Same result on a Dell 620 laptop (full install ans frugal install).
Cheers

I do have numlockx binary included and the binary works for me. Firstrun ie countrywizard.qs calls that binary and it should work. I think it will need Shinobar`s input about failure.
Test in console: numlockx off and numlockx on
Does it have effect to disable and enable when you have Galculator open.

Hi Pemasu,
if doing in a console:
1) numlockx on:
NumLock Led is off; all NumPad keys are active in Galculator, as also in the editing of this post.
2) numlockx off:
NumLock Led is even off; only 2,4,6,8 NumPad keys do no display the corresponding figures; but are active as cursor move.
Now if pressing the Numlock key , the Numlock led is on; all NumPad keys are active.
This performed on a fresh pristine (pfix=ram) bootup and Personnal settings set to be-latin1 + fr_BE locale + NumLock and UTF-8 checkboxes checked .
Hope this helps
Cheers
