Puppy 1.0.8 doesn't acknowledge that my Palm LifeDrive is attached to my computer when it's in Drive Mode (which emulates a USB mass storage device) and the Palm doesn't acknowledge that it's plugged into a computer.

This is wate I get for dmesg:

sdd: Unit Not Ready, sense:
Current 00:00: sense key Not Ready
Additional sense indicates Medium not present
sdd : READ CAPACITY failed.
sdd : status = 1, message = 00, host = 0, driver = 08
Current sd00:00: sense key Not Ready
Additional sense indicates Medium not present
sdd : block size assumed to be 512 bytes, disk size 1GB.
sdd: Write Protect is off
sdd: I/O error: dev 08:30, sector 0
I/O error: dev 08:30, sector 0
ldm_validate_partition_table(): Disk read failed.
I/O error: dev 08:30, sector 0
unable to read partition table

However, on three occasions, Puppy has seen and been able to use the Lifedrive. I can't recall anything special that I did to make it work on those three occasions.

Does anyone know why this would be happening?
