Hi all,
SeaMonkey 2.xx provides limited color management support by default. However, its settings can be tweaked to provide greater support. Furthermore, SeaMonkey 2.61 has an extra setting to enable version 4 of the icc specification. This means the browser is able to render images with greater color consistency regardless of the devices and applications used to create them.
To enable these settings, one must have a color calibrated monitor at the very least. For most puppy users, the easiest way to do this is to download the color profile that matches your monitor, then use a program such as xcalib to do the calibration based on the vcgt data within the color profile (a file with .icm or .icc extension).
Xcalib is a command line utility and the Pet can be found here: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 58&t=74984 and addtional information regarding its usage can be found in my posts at this thread: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 58&t=39754
For those who have a color calibrated monitor, go to http://gearoracle.com/guides/firefox-color-management/ for the specifics on how to adjust your browser settings. Once you have done that, be sure to close the browser then re-open it for the adjustments to take effect. Afterward, you can go here: http://gearoracle.com/tools/web-browser ... ment-test/ and here: http://www.color.org/version4ready.xalter to test SeaMonkey's color management support.
Here is a screenshot of my color management tweaks in SeaMonkey 2.61
Cheers,
Monsie
