in Firefox, whenever I try to open an mp3 weblink, I get this error message:
Code:
The gxine starter plugin has crashed. No report available. Reload the page to try again

When I download the mp3, gxine (my default mediaplayer) plays is wihout problems.
I currently use FF 9.0.1 but I also had this issue with older versions.

Hanzf,

Here, not necessarily mp3 specific. I'm guessing the mozilla-plugin-vlc & mozplugger pkgs for what ails ya..

Update: On rethink'n this and, a little help, I've come up with a far more efficient solution- sans any plugin.
