Printing from linux applications Subject description: compatability with IBM standards.
I had successfully set up wireless printing from my laptop.
I tested it first by trying to print a CUPS printer test page.
That failed.
I then tried to have the printer print its own test page.
That succeeded.
I am able to print information/pages from the internet as well as pdf files.
But it seems I cannot print text files loaded into geany.
So my question is do the ctrl-12 and ctrl-13 codes get sent to the printer in place of the linux line feed characters?
I cannot remember the exact error I got from the CUPS job page other than some wrapper failing.
And a short text file I tried to print chugged along seemingly forever before I canceled the job that should have printed fairly fast.
I also had a problem with connecting to my wifi wep encrypted Quest 5000 router and that was a stated problem from the Kodak web site.
My printer is not specifically listed in the linux driver I got from sourceforge and I had not tried the one in form of a pet package.
But my printer is a Kodak esp c315 AIO printer and the closest I could come in the printers shown in the driver to choose from was a Kodak c310 selection.
