Have Brother nfc 7362. Installed via Ethernet to a Netgear router. Working well on home windows based network. Have downloaded Linux drivers and can get it work with slacko 531 as a usb printer with cups (both versions). Cups cannot find it as a network printer however I can manually install it and cups will connect to it. When I try to print in cups 1.3 I get,the message "recoverable ***.***.**.** is busy will retry in ** seconds". This message continues without any printing.

It was a simple (embarrassing) problem

I can seen the IP address on the printer as ***.***.***.*** which is what I used. The last two sets of digits contained "0"s before numbers so the IP address reported by the printer was something like ***.***.000.030 If entered as reported by the printer did not work however if the IP address was added as ***.***.0.30 if worked without a hitch.
