Is it possible to make puppy 5.2.8 have the same look and feel as ubuntu 11.04 or prior? My mom loves puppy but likes the look and feel of ubuntu.

What are my options?

Well, for starters...click here.
Go to Menu / Filesystem / ROX-Filer file manager.
Click on the "up" arrow.
Go to /usr/share/backgrounds, and copy the image to that folder.
Then go to Menu / Desktop / (background or wallpaper setter).
You should be able to select and install the background from there.

I don't think I explained myself correctly. Right now I am trying xfce in Puppy Linux 5.2.8 and like it. I was wondering if it is possible to use Gnome and Nautilus in Puppy.

I was wondering if it is possible to use Gnome and Nautilus in Puppy.
As you know Puppy use Joe's Window Manager JWM
and Gnome is also a WM but Nautilus is that not a file manager?
So kind of different leagues?

I would use the search in my signature and write gnome pet or gnome sfs or something.

Same for nautilus using different search each on their own.

I guess it is way more easy to make a Nautilus than to make a gnome

Can you maybe test if you like Enlight something E17
that is used in Macpup that is kind of fancy too?

That is why I don't use neither gnome nor E17 I am not
clever enough to get how to :) But many do like E17
so maybe you can get used to love that even more?
