puppy needs to dig

#1 Post by bonzo »

Hi there,

New in this forum and using Lucid 5.2.8 for a few months on a very old HP ze4900 laptop, I like to greet you!
I'm working on a few bash scripts with Xdialog and want to do some domain related scripting. I found a whois pet for pup 4 that behaves well on 5.X.X, but to complete the script I need the unix/linux dns lookup "dig" command to do something like:

Code: Select all

dig ns $domainname
Do you know if a pet package (containing) "dig" already exists? If not I am more than willing to create one for your great (and small  ) distro.

grtz

I've made a full bind package once, its quite big (about 12MB pet, like 20MB once installed).
It has the DOCs and DEVs files inside it as I dont worried about stripe those out.

Would be great, anyway, if you can pack all those separately.
