WISH Checkbook 2012

#1 Post by pa_mcclamrock »

WISH Checkbook 2012 (http://www.pa-mcclamrock.com/papenguins ... #wishcheck) is a simple home finance manager. Version 2012 fixes several bugs in sorting by different columns, and in roll-over of uncleared transactions to new account.

WISH Checkbook can't do anything fancy, but it may be able to help you (as it helps me) keep track of how little money you have, remember to pay bills on time, and avoid overdrawing any accounts. Requires Tcl (http://www.pa-mcclamrock.com/tcl-8.5.6-v1.pet) and Gnocl (http://www.pa-mcclamrock.com/gnocl-0.9.95-20110429.pet).

Features include the following, among others:

* Quick start-up of new accounts

* Multiple accounts, and transfers among them, can be easily managed

* Scheduled transactions help you avoid overlooking bills; these transactions can be modified permanently (from the scheduled transaction window) or temporarily (from the account entry window)

* Categories (optional, not required!) are automatically listed and can be quickly retrieved

* Transactions can be searched for by date, check number, transaction name, or category

* Accounts can be exported as tab-delimited or comma-delimited text, or as HTML tables

* Uncleared transactions from one account can easily be rolled over into a new account
It's stupid to use inferior software for ideological reasons.
