Dear Puppy community I've started the new squeeze of the CD and I am thrilled. Thank you for the excellent work. Unfortunately I'm not a Linux specialist and there are a few small problems. Below are the screenshots of the respective programs. I have a new desktop pc and would like to use the software. It's current hardware. / Nvidia a, my new graphics card Nvidia apparently is not recognized correctly. With the VESA driver it works anyway. b, wifi is not detected c, sound is not detected, Thanks for any help, I am pleased Best regards, Atari

I think thay you get better succes with proprietary nvidia driver. One way is...to compile it yourself. Load devx sfs and kernel source sfs (install them first) and then download the right nvidia driver package for your card. From other puplet thread is guide how to do it. Of course change in that guide the devx sfs and kernel source sfs matching your squeeze pup version. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=66836&start=330 Your wlan driver does not seem to support certain encryption methods. You should try without using encryption in your wlan router. Your sound works better with intel hda pcm. Use alsamixer > F6 and select the intel choice. |
