Disabling GUI?!

#1 Post by operationexodus »

Hi! I would like to disable the GUI at startup! How do?

I'm using 528 with Lucid Puppy Xorg!
Thank you!

:D Hello,
Add the bootcode
pfix=nox
at the first prompt, and it will boot into a console...
Close the Windows, and open your eyes, to a whole new world

:D Hello,
To make it permanent, add the line to
/boot/grub/menu.lst
at the end of the line that begins with "kernel"...
Like this:
title Lupen
rootnoverify (hd0,3)
kernel /Lupen/vmlinuz pmedia=atahd psubdir=Lupen pfix=nox
initrd /Lupen/initrd.gz
Close the Windows, and open your eyes, to a whole new world
