Hi arj_pup; You can make links by using the URL button above the editor.

I`ll check out your SFS file, I don`t like Pets as they fill up the Save file.

Thanks for having the sense to make SFS files, but some folks like Pets...

Tried this out (SFS version, to be specific) in Upup Precise 3992. Here's my opinion: this is NOT worthy of "Alpha" status.

Try "Beta" instead :D ;)

Things that need attention...

(1) the Applications menu is a bit of a mess. 90% of the applications wind up in "Other".

(2) right-click menu ("Context Menu") does nothing on the desktop, despite appropriate options being enabled, such that it should be present.

(3) Logout button -> "shutdown" pops up an error message, then dumps to the terminal, where one must type poweroff [ENTER] to actually shut down.

Other than that, it's working very well! Unlike the other XFCE4 SFS I was trying to use, this one is themable, and I can change wallpaper and icons!

HAY GUYZ.

arj_pup hasn't logged in since Jan 2013. Is there anyone here who can fix the issues within this SFS/PET and re-release it? or is that considered "not cool" around here...? (I'd do it myself but I can't code for crap :( )

I'll be glad to help test...

I'll check, but I doubt it -- the ROX desktop shows up just fine -- all XFCE does in this case, apparently, is supply the panel at the top and some of the menus...

So it's a hybrid.. I was thinking full window manager. Still, mod'n the menus shouldn't be rocket science.

Other? Yeah, I see what you mean. The adjustment's here somewhere..

Besides Menu Edit, refer to this guy >> https://wiki.xfce.org/howto/customize-menu

Rt-clk desktop = settings manager >> desktop >> icons >> icon type = file/launcher icons.

Would be wonderful if I could figure out how to tell XFCE to use the JWM/Puppy menu structure instead of that mess... but I'm not sure how to do it :(

EDIT: this will be on hold for at least a week. need to get a power supply that will let me run fans on this system (motherboard is 5v only, most PC fans are 12v) so I don't feel bad running it for more than fifteen minutes at a time... ;)
