I am in the process of remastering lupu 5.2.8 into a puplit called Biblepup and there is somethings I am not sure on how to do.

1. modify the personal setting welcome screen.

2. and editing the menu-removing catagories.

any ideas on how I should do this?
Thanks

What do you mean by the personal welcome screen? Are you talking about the boot screen with the puppy?

With edit the menu, do you just want to remove certain programs or do you want to delete an entire menu section out?

The screen that Iam talking about is the one that pops up after it is done booting and it says welcome to lupu528.

And the menu is to remove catogory off the menu like fun or one of the others.

thanks DPUP5520

-- are you aware of shepherdpup? Might be that there is already something similar to what you are working on.

1) Do this in the terminal:
Code:
cat ~/.packages/builtin_files/firstrun

2) /usr/share/desktop-directories and /etc/xdg/menus Wink

I have used it put it is not what I am looking for. The bible program that I will have installed by default is theWord by permission of its creator Costas.

Thanks sfeeley
