Canon Selphy CP780

#1 Post by DL62 »

Hello

I am a newcomer to Linux but have been using the latest version of Lucid Puppy for a few weeks now. I have managed to grasp most things using the wizards including using a Lexmark printer/scanner, but have hit a problem installing a Canon Selphy CP780. I would appreciate any help, please.
So far I have installed the printer selecting the Selphy 750 driver which is the latest available. When I print a test page the printer fires up and takes in paper but then stops with busy displayed on the lcd. According to the printer driver the job has been completed.
Thanks in advance.

I think that you are out of luck. Canon does not provide a Linux driver for the CP780. So if the Gutenprint CP750 driver does not work, there are no alternatives that I can find.

What Lexmark printer do you have and what driver package are you using?
