For everybody here in the US that isn't accustomed to international time dealings, the time is set for 22:00 (10PM) UTC. That translates to 18:00 (6PM) Eastern over here in the US. Eastern time would normally be five hours off UTC, but UTC doesn't do the whole daylight savings thing, so it is only four hours off in the summer half of the year. Just so nobody gets there an hour early and thinks they missed it

If I have done my arithmetic right, that's 6.00 am April 8th here in Western Australia.
Should be okay for me. I will be on the road (driving) at about 8.00 am.
I take my PC with me to Perth, but will fire it up beforehand, at 6am and
see if I can join in.

Er, did I get that wrong? Will it be 22.00 on 8th, so as I'm GMT+8, then
the meeting is 6am 9th (Sunday)?

I'll try and actually be there this time instead of just reading the transcript. Good time for me, earlier and I'd be at work still.

I am trying to connect to IRC - from Alpha 4 of Puppy (should be set up for freenode)

Have tried Puppy Singer r1
tried dowloading and configuring X-chat 2.6

The freenode IRC channel seems to be down? Or am I doing something wrong (the usual explanation) I may not be able to make it.

I will try and read the transcript and do a pod-cast tomorrow

Good Luck - be kind to everyone (seems to work)

Freenode is having temporary problems with incoming connections it should be fixed soon. If Freenode doesn't get back to normal in time then we can use IrCQ-Net like before. I'll be at both IRC networks either way.

EDIT: 20 minutes until the meeting and this is the last message from FreeNode:
"we're currently working on resolving an issue with a missing server and some channel attacks. New connects are closed and are being opened only intermittently. Please bear with us."

So, I vote that we just use IrCQNet. The easiest way is to just scroll to the top of this page and click on Chat while logged in. You can also connect to irc.icq.net and join #puppylinux from your IRC program. Let's not bother with using the #puppylinux-foundation channel on IrCQNet since no one uses #puppylinux much.

Thanks, J_Rey*. FYI, J_Rey has been very helpful waiting for people in the different possible Foundation chatrooms and inviting them over to irc.icq.net#puppylinux, where the meeting was already ongoing (there had been problems at freenode as J_Rey noted above).
