aMule 2.2.6

#1 Post by 666philb »

this is aMule2.2.6 only tested on lucid puppy.

i compiled it with the root warning removed.
to do this you need to enter the /src/ folder in the tar.gz. Open amule.cpp in a text editor. find the warning (in this case line 649) and change the "#ifndef __WXMSW__" line to "#if 0"

please let me know if there are any problems with it.

hi nancy reagan

after double clicking on an item in the search list. switch to the 'transfers tab'. it 'should' have appeared there.

let me know if it doesn't

Hi Phil

They appear in the transfer list but do nothing saying something like "waiting" (for hours).

hi nancy reagan,

The problem could be that there's not many sources for the file. The more sources, the quicker the download. And if there's only one source, you have to wait until that person is on-line with amule.

I've always treated amule as something that you leave on in the background. It's not the fastest, but chugs away and gets there in the end.

as an experiment. do a search and try selecting a 3-4 random files that have lots of sources i.e. 20-30sources. to check that it is truly working, and not being blocked by you firewall.

let me know how you get on

Hi 666philb

Thanks for your packages of aMule.
I downloaded and installed the SFS package on Lupu 5.28 and SnowPuppy 0.20 and it works very well with both of them.
