I usually use Hotmail, yahoo, and Gmail for disposable email addresses. As for a multboot program there is one called sardu I think, and puppyluvr has one but I can't remember the name of it.

GishPuppy is a disposable email address service that shines with simplicity and functionality. Unfortunately, GishPuppy's functionality does not encompass replacing your real email address with the appropriate alias in replies.

Mailinator lets you use any email address @mailinator.com and pick up the mail at their site. Since there's no connection to your real address, you sure won't get spam from using Mailinator addresses. Keep in mind that all mail sent to Mailinator is made public.

6. Yahoo! Mail Classic: - https://mail.yahoo.com/
Yahoo! Mail Classic is a comfortable, reliable and secure email service with unlimited storage. A pretty good spam filter (including disposable email addresses) keeps the junk out.
Note that disposable addresses are deleted when you cancel your Yahoo! Mail Plus account.

Thats awsome, just beware of JonDo's autoconfiguration for the cascades, it tends to like to point you towards the single server japanese proxy which is less secure than the other cascaded proxy servers.

Dont mind me, I'm just jumping in on this thread. Looks like a very interesting project and as soon as I post this I'm going to download the iso and try it out. In fact, if my wifi is support I just might trash this ubuntu install in favor of your pup.

I have a prob that I have never had with other 528 puplets.

After doing a multisession remaster, it saves to a new folder on shutdown, as it should, but won't load a folder on startup.

Also savesession-dvd doesn't work.

Any clues?

I'm not really sure, I can look into it but it may take me a while as I don't have any CDs or DVDs here yet im still waiting to get them shipped to me. I was planning on updating Puppy Crypt but haven't had a chance as i've been quite busy with work and I use another one of my pups as my day to day distro. I will look into the issue as soon as I get a chance and report back as soon as possible.

unfortunately not, im in a desolate country where it's kind of hard to get things like CDs/DVDs so I'm waiting for them to get shipped to me sorry
I am planning on updating Puppy Crypt when I get time though, Unfortunately I've fallen behind the curve, the browser needs to be updated as well as some security settings adjusted and a few things put in and taken out. It takes me quite a few hours to download even the smallest Puppy and that's when I can even get on the internet. But as for the CDs yea it's probably gonna be a few more days or even a week before I can do any testing for the multisession problem.

Edit: Totally overlooked the wallpaper comment, There is actually another wallpaper hidden inside the OS that goes along with that one, I doubt you'll find it though it's hidden inside another file but feel free to look. Every custom wallpaper I put in my derivatives has a meaning behind it and my dirty little secret is one of them.

Is there any way to boot this from a USB drive without having installed it on a system already? I have the disk image and would like to install it on a system with no CD drive. Thanks for any help.

maybe using a virtual drive to create the usb image? What kind of system is it that it has no cd drive? I probably won't be around for another week or two after tomorrow. (internet is almost nonexistent here)

It’s a haggard laptop that I mess around with and the CD drive doesn’t work. I’m a total novice but what you have made seems to be, in my albeit limited search, the best option for privacy and security. It’s a shame that for people without your expertise, who all want privacy and security, have to get through many hurdles before they arrive somewhere close. I’ve wondered for some time now why there are many almost self-updating software components available offered for free by not-for-profit individuals and organisations concerning security and privacy, yet no OS that can bind them all together in a similar process. I’d imagine there’d be great demand. Puppy Crypt 528 is the closest I’ve come across and congrats on the work.

Anyway, yes, I’m just looking to make a bootable USB with it. Any pointers would be appreciated. No doubt if I get it working I’ll have no idea what to do

BTW, have you any experience with this https://tails.boum.org?
Also, if I encrypt my HDD with TrueCrypt will I be able to update to any new releases of the OS?

I've checked Tails out and it's ok. I also use LPS since i've had hard times getting my CAC reader working in Puppy and no one is willing to help out. TrueCrypt is a little nit-picky on the current version of Puppy Crypt (there's a workaround somewhere here in the forum for it) and I only use it to encrypt individual files and folders. I see no point in full drive encryption or any such silliness for myself though I can see where it's useful for others. When I get around to updating Puppy Crypt it will be a little smaller (hopefully) and i'm going to consolidate some tools and do a few updates, along with a few other things.
As I said in my last post you can use a virtual drive or system (qemu or virtual box or vmware) to create a bootable usb without a cd drive. You can find instructions probably on the forum or through Google I'd imagine.
Good luck to you, if you have any other questions i'll be gone for a while but we have a wealth of security and Puppy experts here on the site.

got the pm thought answer here so others may benefit. you don't have to make a pet out of tor to work. just down load the current

Tor Browser Bundle
Version 2.2.35-9 - Linux, BSD, and Unix

to root/my-applications/lib/
open it with xarchiver choose to extract it there
click on the dir tor-browser
inside is file "start tor browser", right click on it and select open as text
go to line 111-- if [ "`id -u`" -eq 0]; then
change the 0 to a 1 so it looks like
go to line 111 if [ "`id -u`" -eq 1]; then
select save then can drag the start tor browser to the desk top and you go to go.

Thanks Jim but I just want to remind everyone as I answered in my PM about Tor, even though you can put a newer version in, it will not have the same security settings and customizations I made to the older version and will not be as secure.
A new version of Puppy Crypt will be coming out but not for a few months as I have to get the base, programs, and finished OS actually shipped back and forth by parcel. I was planning on waiting till I get home but that's gonna be a while so I'll do my best to get a newer version out within the next three months.
