Wireless USB adapter

#1 Post by kdesilva »

Now that I've gotten 5.28 running, I want to get online!

I've got a D-Link Wireless 108G - DWL-G132 USB adapter .. but the network wizard doesn't find it ..

Will I need to download drivers et al?

You should check Tempestuous excellent extra drivers thread.

If you dont find working version. Post your lspci -nnv (in console) rows concerning your wireless. It will help to identify the real chip inside.

It uses ar5523 driver.
Tempestuous has the driver for it here:

Ah great, I've loaded the drivers and puppy has found the device, I've even connected to a wireless network, but I get an error saying I'm not connected to the internet ...

REPORT ON TEST OF wlan0 CONNECTION
'Unable to connect to a wireless network'
Verify that the wireless network is available and
that you have provided the correct wireless parameters.

Hmmmmmm
