I know what that is. I can get it in an update. Maybe I can find one sooner. Thanks.guvcview returns message about libavcodec.so.52 not found.
MoebusNet, Try this.
Humm, I've a download of 30-08-11 with same MD5 hash ...I personally recommend a fresh install, and then copying one's data over to Three-Headed Dog.

live, That link is the original 3HD, not the current Version 2 Take 2. I should remove it because people should use the new one. I am sorry, what is 30-08-11--I just got up and I'm groggy Whatever it is, it shouldn't have the same md5sum.http://diddywahdiddy.net/Puppy500/luci-529.iso

aarf, Some versions of Pburn would crash X. I guess you would have noticed if it was any particular program causing them. This is an interesting situation. For some people Lupu 528 works well, for other people 3HD V2T2 works better. That was unintentional but something we have tried to do in all Lupu's is to have a "redundant strategy," that is, if one thing doesn't work, then we have a backup option. Just for instance, if booting to the desktop and auto config of X doesn't work, then we have xorgwizard.still getting the occasional crash
not pburn havent used it. opera-next is probably open when the crashing happens but it is the exact same portable opera-next+exact same flashplayer(with current updates and located on the same partition as portable opera) i used in previous lupu and slacko and puppeeerc2 without problems. not enough crashes to make 3HD redundant for me. but probably enough to withdraw it if it were mission critical situation.playdayz wrote:aarf, Some versions of Pburn would crash X. That is correct.Since this release has the 2.6.37.6 Slacko kernel the regular Lucid drivers (for 2.6.33.2 kernel) won't work.mikeslr wrote:Hi playdaz & all,
Clicking Quickpet and then selecting drivers returns no choices. This is both before and after ppm is updated.
Just checking if this is as it should be.

I use the Slacko drivers in my Nvidia boxes and Xorg_High on my Intel boxes and those drivers work fine.4. Since Three-Headed Dog has a different kernel than Lucid the Lucid video drivers won't work.
The ATI fglrx driver from Slacko works for my HD 3850 card.

Xorg_High will still work for everything but Nvidia cards--but even that would be worth testing.

Please see this message. But there are reports that a/the Nvidia drivers don't work.

That is good news JamesC. Thanks. After Slacko is released I am thinking to steal the section of Slickpet that recommends video drivers and insert it into Quickpet in 3HD.Please see this message. But there are reports that a/the Nvidia drivers don't work.

I've used both the 96.43.19-k2.6.37.6-s (old Nvidia card) and 275.09.07-k2.6.37.6-s (newer Nvidia cards) from Slacko successfully in Three_Headed_Dog.playdayz wrote:That is good news JamesC. Thanks.
