Three-Headed Dog 5.2.8.005 Updated APR 25 2012
EDIT: Now removed to Additional Software / Security section of forum.
OK, I hadn't realised that I had included the definitions file in my pet.
I've removed it to keep download smaller.
Install Xfprot from below and then select F2 update button to download the latest virus definitions.
==
Edit: Hmm odd situation. Whilst doing some research on f-prot I was served with two different download pages from their website.
The upshot is a new f-prot version.
Now there's another anomaly, they flag it as 6.1.0 but it reports back on itself as 6.5.1 with v 6 engine.
So it's either v6.1 or 6.5 whichever report you use. either way it's the latest.
I've added it rather than replacing the 6.0.3

I am in two headed 528 now and try to get f-prot going but I am not intelligent enough.
Struggled for hours.
Sure I went to f-prot.com and dl the zipped thing and extracted it and moved the f-prot to /opt and it fail to do anything. Nothing works.
I try pemasu desccription now and see what that one says.
Well that one get things going a bit but I don't know how to run it

I tested this in 529 and could not duplicate the problem, even after installing the various upgrades.
However, the problem can be caused by a mismatch between GTK and CUPS. Somehow this has happened to you and reinstalling GTK has fixed it.
I loaded both of the pets and received following error when I tried to run the program using the menu optiontasmod wrote:XFprot 2.4

checked for the folders mentioned in the post and couldn't find them so assumed that help was absent. but yes "help" when clicked in mtpaint does go somewhere. apologies.playdayz wrote:I am not understanding. Does the mtpaint Help not work in Three-Headed Dog? I just tested and it works in Lucid 5.2.8.For mtPaint, it can be done quite easily; just create a file /usr/doc/mtpaint/index.html or /usr/share/doc/mtpaint/index.html containing this line:
I just checked and the Help works for mptaint in Three-Headed Dog also. We have enabled the Help in as many programs as we can in Lucid, gnumeric, sylpheed, roxterm, and numerous others. Abiword was difficult so it has a separate Help listing in the menu--same with Homebank.
used the clamav from http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=414761 long ago in a forgotten puppy. got a scan and found nothing when i was sure i had an infection. didn't use it again.
recently used a current definition clamav in xandros and found some old windoze origin virus but not the suspicious foldername.exe i though were virus.
also this one attached which definitely came through puppy/opera-next but when i checked the file there is no email address mentioned. think it is a falsely. was an opera-next .mht file save of this page http://www.anz.com/thailand/en/Auxiliary/Contact-Us/ when using a recent puppy.

Hello,
OK, finally got a chance to try the "Three Headed Dog"..
BTW, his name is Cerberus, and he is the guardian to the gate to Hell...
In short, incredible...
Very fast, auto recognition worked flawlessly, ndiswrapper hooked me right up...
Correct resolution.. Audio OOTB, mp4, avi, flv all play excellently..
Going to install xorg-high and test glx next..
Machine is a Compaq CQ-56...
Playdayz, you have out done yourself...
On this machine this is an OOTB thriller...
Maybe faster than my 2.6.38.4 builds...
This may become my main desktop, and certainly will see much use...
So much good work being put out as of late..
But this one "shines" above the rest....
Currently running Firefox (Nightly) 9 at seemingly "turbo" speed..
Some testing to do and I`ll be back...
Seriously though...
Very nice work...

Oh darn, I got too fancy with the name.Neither the "Browse" nor the "Quickpet" icons on the desktop work for me in Three-Headed Dog Version 2
Here's a quick quickpet fix ->

Thanks for the quick feedback rcrsn51.
No, this doesn't seem to fix it. Withdrawn. Sorry.

Other than Quickpet showing a nice dialog box, no problems here with the latest. Fresh frugal install.playdayz wrote:I have withdrawn Three-headed Dog version 2 until it is decent. I apologize for the inconvenience.
No problems with SeaMonkey......posting from it now.regular SeaMonkey 2.3 pet out of the PPM.
You could just disable the "drivers" part of Quickpet .....luckily 01micko took care of that for Lucid Retro.Wouldn't want users grabbing the wrong drivers.
