Shame on me.
I lost the automatism to look in either PPM or the first thread to find those things.
You can be in peace, nothing to report after loading the sfs.

/proc/bus/usb
I found the cause of the problem with Pupscan. It needs usbfs mounted on /proc/bus/usb, as does HardInfo. Note that this is considered to be deprecated, but these two apps still need it.

The usbfs is mounted on /proc/bus/usb in /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit, however there is a test for module 'usbcore' loaded -- which does not work with my recent kernels that have USB (and HID) drivers builtin. I have fixed rc.sysinit.

So usb info from pupscan and also sysinfobox will be fixed by next woof and using it to make next version, so that will be my next timetable....

pdf viewing.

Thank you for the update on USB

I miss the epdfviewer.

Zathura is really picky on the file name.
Whenever there is a blank and/or an accented character in the file name it refuses to load the file.

Also manipulating the view is not intuitive as there is no menu.
By accident I found how to browse from page to page and how to increase the view %.

But I still don't see how to go to page xx in one go.

Hi folks!

I`m looking for a programm making video dvd`s with menues and so on .
In Macpup i was using DVDSTYLER . Some time ago downloaded it (with the help of downloading libmagick too) and it was working well.
Later somehow i deleted DVDSTYLER .
Now i tried to install again in MACPUP same install procedure.

Downloaded it in macpup libmagick too but it still needed libmagickcore2.so which was nowhere to be found, or as i thought i found it, couldnt be installed.
Tried now for hours. What a fuck !

Now tried to install it in Dpup (using Debian Sqeeze deb) no success.
To many things missing
Does anybody know how to ?
Or maybe a similar programm working in Dpup.

Sometimes Linux makes me happy ....sometimes Linux sucks...

In my Lucid based puppies I had as default pdfviewer evince and symlinked it as epdfview. Not many probably noticed the change. Evince is IMHO good pdf viewer, I will probably add it and symlink it as default.

Zathura is so small and is included also in don570 excellent right clicks pets that it would be more work to strip it out than leaving it. And it is Iguleders find, it would feel bad to left it out. Don570 also made gui for helping to use it. Someone made gui for Zathura, which probaly have real gui elements.

Backi. Without knowing exactly what libs it complains are missing, it is impossible to help you. Sometimes making symlinkit from szueeze version of the lib to the version it complains is enough. Sometimes it needs the exact missing lib.

Sounds like that your app needs some work to get working.

I have played more successfully today with e17 settings. Macpup525 themes pets works fine. Systray gadget module is the one which has those tray apps in jwm also, usually launched from /root/Startup. .jwmrc-tray launched tray apps are of course excluded, like PupClockset. And from the screenshot by runtt21, when he explained about systray module, there was those empty places on the edges.

Engage module is the one with wbar lookout. I added it to the up of the desktop and that is my place to launch Rox-filer or usually several sessions. It is configurable also.
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 141#539141

Prit has made pet to have drive icons shown in desktop but it didnt work for me. There was only runtt21 mention and link to that pet, and explanation that he has not tried it.

I also removed unneeded ibar apps so that it is more usable. Changing the theme to more livelier helped the look a lot.

It is possible to compile more gadget modules. Iguleder would be the right person to ask about how to compile them.

In Macpup 525 there are a lot so called Illume modules. I dont know what they are, didnt bother to search the net.

Beem. Really nice. Thank you. Something like that I have needed for e17.
I renamed it so that woof digests it better.

I have already many changes and fixes for next version. I have fixed the shutdown button message problem. In fact the whole dialog proportion is totally broken. I made it just shutting down.
KISS philosophy. That my used script flooded xerrs.log also. So one xerrs.log boogie nailed down. About those xfce gtk-themes. They dont work right for me. I will remove them and go back to those which I have used before. Any suggestions are welcome. Raleigh of course.....And that new pick 23oz with Dave S jwm theme, they are irresistible couple.

Beem asked this on Macpup 525 thread. I have suffered from the same problem, so I had searched the solution. Posted also to the Macpup 525 thread.

To disable that mouse cursor caused accidental window flipping in e17:

1: Left Click the desktop
2: Select Settings Panel
3: Select Input
4: Select Edge Bindings
5: Delete everything under Edge Bindings

Dingo has compiled statically Qt4 app, great gui Droper for dropbox. It works fine with dropbox sfs. Droper connects to your net dropbox folder. You can upload files straight to it and they will be synced with your computer residing folder. Public link needs probably be created in dropbox website after logging in.

I uploaded Droper to the exprimo repo.

I found the problem with my box3 relates to a Kernal Module Problem!

:Loading kernal Modules....[ 25.014560] BUG: unable to handle kernal paging request at 342c0020.

I have added it in Iguleders 4991/next thread as as I understand it your using his kernal packs. Hopefully he can sort it out.

scsijon. Do I remember right that you used Amd Sempron in that machine. If so, that problem is probably due to intel atom optimization I used. I have my own kernel compilation, which is the product of Ice Puppy thread kernel project, Barry took the .config script and modified it better and then I modified it little again and that is lupe28 kernel.
To get kernel working with most machines, you would need most conservative specs and that is something I dont want. My main target is somewhat newer comps and especially laptops. There are already so many Barrys builds for older comps that it is not worthy to add one more to that era.

And my laptop is quite new still, intel i5 cpu quadcore. It would be shameful to use kernel specs which are for oldest pentium machines. I have already lowered threshold from dual core specs to atom specs which are close of Pentium 4 specs.

I am sorry, I wont lower threshold more.....

The story of Idrivepanel-demo → idrivepanel
I discovered Idrivepaneldemo made by seaside.
I asked him to isolate the Idrivepanel part and he did.
I referenced it in this thread and pemasu liked it and renamed the pet to Idrivepanel-0.0.1.pet to match it with woof requirements.

So thank you seaside and maybe we will find this nice facility standard in Exprimo.

High folks!

Backi back in town.
About this "shutdown without saving" option.

It is quite usefull for me.Sometimes i am trying out some new programms or packages or sometimes experimenting with some changes ...and so on,
when something went wrong or i dont like the whole show, i am able to leave
"Desaster island" without saving any crap.

A bit like a virtual virtual box.

Sometimes quite comfortable.
