Dpup Exprimo 5.X.15
Another useful way to see what goes wrong:
petget /root/Downloads/wine-1.3.34-i486_v1.pet
FLAGNODIRECT=1
Generating /root/.icewm/menu...
wine: created the configuration directory '/root/.wine'
Generating /root/.jwmrc...
err:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for builtin L"winemp3.acm": libmpg123.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Okay wine whines after libmpg > menu > setup > PPM > libmpg from squeeze repo > libmpg123-0_1.12.1-3_i386.deb > install it and then another try ( i did uninstall the wine first from the first trial. ) and I had some gecko engine through wine first installation when it suggested to download it, so I had also it before next trial:
petget /root/Downloads/wine-1.3.34-i486_v1.pet

And now I have whole set of wine menu entries in Utilility ( for which I dont do anything, lol )
So....install libmpg123-0_1.12.1-3_i386.deb and try the wine installation again.

Hi pemasu
Found this old .pet, first tried it in Racy... it worked!that was with a Seamonky Browser. Figured I'd try it in Luci with an Iron Browser... it workes great there too, so I just up-graded Exprimo to 5.X.11 (and that went well) so I installed the googletalk-ff.pet (below) and it also works just fine in Exprimo using an Iron Browser. Should work with most other browsers, others will have to check and report. Originally it was written for FoxFire Browser but in these cases, it doesn't seem to matter. Might be a good one for the PPM?
--------------------------------------------------------
If you have a gmail account for your email, you have a feature in there called 'Call Phone' (if I remember right, you have to signup for the feature even though it's free)
if you go to:
http://tinyurl.com/8479cqm
Download the .pet file:
googletalk-ff.pet
Install it in Luci-5.2.9
You have free live talk from your computer microphone to any local and long-distance phone number in the U.S. and Canada.
This works for U.S. gmail accounts, how it will work for other parts of the world, you'll have to check that out for yourself.
NOTE: When dialing... a '1' is required for long-distance numbers and the 'area-code' seems to be required for all calls, even local.

It appears we were both posting at the same time and mine got placed in yours... bummer. But if you don't mind I don't mind if you keep it there so long as users can benefit from it.
'Sorry about that'

default mhwaveedit configuration file
I got an idea while looking a Tazoc's Lighthouse 503
He puts a mhwaveedit configuration file in his ISO
so that the first time a user launches mhwaveedit
it will have a wide window and less vertical scroll bars.
It's a nice touch!!
Here's the file he uses ----> /root/.mhwaveedit/config
Note that there is a line for window geometry

Cheers Pemasu - i got alot of free time coming up so hopefully get back into Puppy stuffpemasu wrote:Thanks stu90. Flasher script works great. Something different to offer in next dpup. Thank you. And good to see you back with yad gui work. Highly appreciated. I will package it with menu entry and make installable pet of it.
Here is a little update for flasher flash downloader:
Changed name to flashgot
Added a testing server GUI at startup
flashgot can also be used to see which version of flash you have installed.

audacious 3.0.2
Have you ever tried Audacious 3.0.2?
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... &start=150
...and use it with mp3splt to cut a long mp3 file.
An option in mp3splt is to choose the audio player.

Yes I have. I have even packaged it earlier as sfs, I think it was coupled with some ffmpeg version, I dont remember anymore why. There is also separate sfs for audacious dependencies, it dragged really a lot needed dependencies, Too much for my liking. I suppose I should repackage it, without that ffmpeg (older version, than exprimo now have). But...It will have quite low priority in my todo list.Have you ever tried Audacious 3.0.2?
I compiled today ffmpeg-0.9.1 in dpup:
And latest release, gnome-mplayer-1.0.5 with newer gmtk-1.0.5. I will test them with movies and music next weekend, if they are ok, I will use them and upload next release. I am not sure should I use mplayer2 as in guy dog or mplayer. Does anybody has more experience between them.
I noticed also that Iguleder has removed all dpup pets from his repository, so I have to remove Packages-puppy-dpup-official repo from the next release. I have the stuff I will need with exprimo, but it looks like Iguleder has moved his developing to the next interesting project. I wish we could have his dpup pets and Puppizard and other building scripts back.
