No setting should be necessary on the client machine. It should auto-detect any printers shared by CUPS on the server machine.and the non-host computer is set to view printers hosted elsewhere on the system - but the printer(s) are not seen.
Do you have firewalls running on either machine? To be certain, look in /etc/rc.d/rc.local.I didn't know if there may be some external-to-CUPS security setting in 5X8 or 5X9, or perhaps on our Netgear router, that may be blocking the printers from being seen.
[Edit] I just set up a networked printer in 5X9 and it worked fine.
