Battery status tray applet
The battery status tray applet wasn't showing until I found:

works great in 5.X.7 uniprocessor!

MoebusNet. Yes, I know that powerapplet_tray has been fixed.
With Vattery-Ibam-acpitool combo I have, there is one problem. If the battery present state misleads the the script to think that vattery-ibam works, it tries to use it and then it seqfaults.
Vattery-acpitool works though, but it is not used due to misassumption.
So...in console: # cat /proc/acpi/battery/*/state
And I will know what your comp tells. I would like to fix the script and that statement might help if you or any other with non working Vattery would post their statements.

So if I rename the folder to isos ..it will work after all.
Pemasu,
I'm just being curious; I noticed that when using either file managers included in Xprimo, I could drag files to the desktop and it would create a shortcut there.
I can't seem to do that in Macpup, so I wanted to ask you if you are using a different pinboard or have you altered some settings in E17 to acheive this?

E17 is my compile. I used Iguleders e17 script and modified it so that it worked for my needs. Then I compiled e17 in dpup. I didnt do anything special, just added some extra modules which lacked from Iguleders specs.
I havent launched any recent MacPups so I cant compare. Does those dragged symlinks also work for you ?
I am now in Slacko pfix=ram situation (trying to compile something) and cant boot to the Exprimo until I am finished.

Just doing a general hardware check on an old box with Exprimo 5.X.7 so here's a quick report.Running live pfix=ram everything working and correct on initial boot......as expected.

Oh, the dragged files in Xprimo are not symlinks after all as I had assumed.pemasu wrote:E17 is my compile. I used Iguleders e17 script and modified it so that it worked for my needs. They are copies of the original files. And no, I haven't been able to do this in Macpup. Perhaps one of the developers has turned off that option.
...okay back to sleep.
IceWM 1.3.7 for Dpup
I have made a pet for IceWM-1.3.7. What I did was I took the debian-i386 version, and made the following changes:
- took out all of the old themes (except for 1), and added more modern-looking themes.
- total of 11 themes
- modified the quicklaunch bar
- modified the preferences for smoother scrolling over the main menu (and other stuff)
- wmswitcher is also included for pups that don't have it (the same one in xprimo)
- added some icons to go with the quicklaunch and wmswitcer
- added "WM-Switch" to the menu, like it how it was done for Jwm
- added some stuff from the Icewm-lucid pet , mainly ice_config.sh
This pet was made for Dpup but also tested okay in Lucid Puppy.
The only problem I have found is that the tray is not working for Icewm in Dpup, even though it works in Lucid Puppy.
EDIT: The original pet is removed.. the improved pet can be downloaded -> here

Any idea why, please?

Are you sure that's a good site?

pwidgets
Downloaded Pwidgets-2.3.7. Clicked pet to install, didn't seem to finish install, shut down. Rebooted, not in menu, but typing 'pwidgets' in console brought up GUI. Downloaded Pwidgets_extras-2.3.1. Clicked on pet to install, didn't seem to install, shut down. Rebooted, not in menu (again), but typing pwidgets in console brought up GUI. Configured GUI changes (rearrange widgets) and voila' Pwidgets seems to run!
Pwidgets still not in Menu, but there doesn't seem to be much to do to straighten this one out (said the CLI-illiterate).
Anyway, this is what it looks like:

Frugal install of Exprimo 5.X.7.........same result as you with SeaMonkey 2.4.1 but no problems with Firefox 7.0.1.Listening to regular programming right now.edoc wrote:Online streaming problem with Seamonkey ...

Same flash and same plugins so SeaMonkey should work too but......it obviously doesn't.I've got SeaMonkey 2.4.1 on a Windows install...I'll boot into that a bit later and see what happens.
EDIT:
For what it's worth, SeaMonkey 2.4.1 in Windows is a no go as well.

Listen Live is playing for me.
I'm a puppy newbie, all I can think of is maybe you need the latest version of Flash? (Menu>Internet>GetFlash Install Flashplayer). You can use Puppy Google Search to make sure I'm not totally off-base. The other thing is to make sure you're using the latest version of Seamonkey (Help>Check For Updates). I'm using 2.4.1 version.
Hope this gives you some directions to try... best of luck.

Back in Exprimo....restarted SeaMonkey with all addons disabled and no problems. Regular streaming is playing fine here too now.

I still have couple of usability things to sort out. Some missing icons to include, couple of obsolete to remove. Flash downloaders need to be updated to 11.X version. Also mplayer usage instead of flash as browser plugin interests me. I am gonna test one script/plugin. Usage would be using Firefox-gecko-mediaplayer-mplayer compo. Yep...next version will have Firefox 7.0.1.
Maybe...I will have today evening an uploadable 5.X.8 ready.

Thanks for checking it out.
It may have been a site problem because I just went back in - having changed nothing (at least not intentionally so) - and it is working fine.
I say that because I am allowing Seamonkey to auto-update -- something I usually do not allow as they tend to break things from time to time -- and so maybe an unseen SM update fixed the problem.
In any case all is well ... for now!
Thanks again!
