GPSD .pet installed, doesn't seem to work

#1 Post by sailorbrand »

I has installed the packet gpsd from the Puppyinstaller.
Also i installed the gpsd-clients from there.

On an Puppy-lucid-525 in a frugal installation.

It seems it doesnt work.

With

Code: Select all

gpsd -n -N -D4 /dev/ttyUSB0

there comes some Answers that looks working. (dont know how the Details anymore). But some in this message seems to say: no data send to client.

Then i have to look in xgps. The xgps from the puppy-installer doesnt start. So i installed a older one (generated with deb2pet from etch-pakage) There are no Data incomming.

Someone has a working gpsd on a newer puppy?? Whats wrong with the buntu-pakage (at installing i have installed the dependecies too).

understandable?

Did GPSD send some Data before having a fix ? Or first after a fix?

GPS Hardware Sirf3.
It works with GPSD (tested on an older Puppy)
Using the USB-port (without gpsd) works fine
