One of the issues that arises in Puppy is handling of USBs, This has surfaced its thorny head from time-to-time and distro developers (Barry too) struggle to assist.

I was having a problem with a USB stick on one of my PCs. In an effort to try to understand if it is the
  • stick, itself
  • the PC BIOS
  • Puppy Distro
I decided to research.

I found this incredibly thorough report. If you are a Distro Developer or a USER wrestling with USB issues, this may help you, too, as it provides some very useful information.

I found this USB article very helpful for understanding what's going on "under the covers" (so to speak) when I insert a USB for booting use.

Hope this helps
