Hello,
I'm running Tahrpup -6.0.1 (updated) with kernel 4.0.4 tahr on a Toshiba Equium A110 laptop.
All attempts to get iplayer going - terminal or GUI - have failed (see attached)
Throughout the get_iplayer topic no-one else seems to have this problem.
Any ideas?

Andrew, it needs Perl.
I don't know if the devx will be enough so hang on..
Is Tahr on your box as a full install?
Ref
Code: Select all
sh-4.3# get_iplayer
Can't locate Env.pm in @INC (you may need to install the Env module)
(@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.18.2 /usr/local/share/perl/5.18.2
/usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.18 /usr/share/perl/5.18 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .)
at /root/getiplayer/get_iplayer line 54.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /root/getiplayer/get_iplayer line 54.
EXIT="abort"

Andrew, open the "useful pets" tab in Quickpet and grab the devx..
I believe she'll dwnld to /root/Downloads.
Rt-clk and hit "sfs_load."
If it asks what to do, hit the drop-down and select NOCOPY.
*Note: There may not be a drop-down.
Load it anyway.
Retry the IPlayer script.
If it works, "unload" the devx after you've sampled the app.
The difference here is how full installs handle these sfs files.
I'd say most Puppians, myself included run frugal installs.
Full may require a different approach..
