Frugal install of Luci 265 on an old Intel box.Booted to working sound and display...... had to use Network Wizard to get connection.

Openshot 1.3.1 does not function anymore with Luci265, it used to with Pup525

live, I just installed Python 2.6 and Openshot 1.3.1 from the Puppy Package Manger and it seemed to work. It started and loaded and played an mp4 video anyway. (I am using the pre-266 luci though.)

You must install python first, and you must ignore the errors. I am irritated with PPM because those are not real errors--the libraries are just not where PPM expects them to be. Sometimes I can do some slight of hand to conceal the "errors" but not in the case of Openshot. I have requested the ability to turn the error checking off because all of the packages in the puppy-lucid repo are checked already, but that hasn't happened. Any hackers???

The errors you show are missing Qt files--perhaps you had a different Openshot?

Hi playdayz,

This is a fast, solid release. Everything appears to work fine with one glaring exception. It does not recognize my Wifi network, so no wireless internet access. It does not see my Belkin Wireless USB Adapter N300. There are a number of WPA and WEP connections available to connect.

Jades, I know I am being silly about XineDVD and that gnome-mplayer plays dvd's just fine--but I think people are more used to software dvd players such as PowerDVD--XineDVD looks ande acts more like one of those. My wife is my test subject--she understands XineDVD and it feels comfortable and familiar to her.
