gnome player
When opening a video as a email attachment what is the script to get the mplayer to work?
How do you want it to work? Do you want audio or video embedded in an html formatted message to play _in_ the message?
Or are you clicking on a video attached to the message, and it is asking you how to play it, and you want to know where to find gnome-mplayer?
gnome-mplayer is probably in /usr/local/bin or /usr/bin. But it might make more sense to use /usr/local/defaultmediaplayer, which should be set up to use gnome-mplayer if that is your favourite (or only) player.
You can also change the default program that the browser or mail client uses to open a particular file type by editing /etc/mailcap.
But perhaps your problem is that the mime type isn't set up for this particular type of file. Let us know if that is the case.
