startin' anew... being previous post is loopin' upon self. have running log at puppy2.org/coopsurv regarding such. fixed hotpup... ongoing, yet beats eventmanager/frontend thingy regarding memory usage and running apps. with ndiswrapper being broken... awhile now, startin' to bring in linux native wireless drivers as I cross paths on my repaired windows machines. added... realtek 3070... aka, rt2870 fix... and just added rtl8187se.... realtek pci wireless. pwireless fails on latest 8187... so initate by way of network setup... then all good. looking into issue but bettered by more qualified... meaning network issues are far my strong suit. removed update script from /etc/rc.d... meaning not needed for frugal-types and that's my focus... otherwords why install and await a crash... when copy iso contents to choice partition, run grub4dos and reboot... done. result... faster boots... less conflicts... good. |

improved detection... now including ethernet option. far from a network wizard... yet me, myself and I was looking for more simplified utility for self... as well clients. here's my result... guess now I'm a networking novice... based upon pwireless 0.8.4. less bloat... rivals default wizards in detection... and now includes ethernet setup from within pwireless. yeap... I know pwireless-2... blah exists... yet abit of a spread on files and scripts... aka, hard to figure out and/or debug... especially one weak on networking. pwireless-0.8.4...1 consists of single executable script... with minimal bloat. result... speed yet gets job done for both wireless and ethernet. simply posting here... since figured my tinkerin' would end in failure.

xine_lib_130... better web content playback without adobe. qtweb removed from main build... now 3 pkgs exists... qtweb_373 qtweb_375_wine opera_11 373... has mplayer-plugin. 375... adobe flash player. opera... focus on content either downloaded and/or opened with xine. added gstreamer for opera... all passes dependency ckeck but still no html5 yet... slow anyways. 373 with plugin and xine update should cover most less adobe-only sites... hence wine version. |
