Polarpup renewed with Racy 5.3

#499 Post by Pelo »

Polarpup renewed with Racy 5.3 / see how to switch the kernels ont this forum
Replace in /lib firmware and modules
in /etc modules.
From those of Racy 5.3
With this new distro Polarpup.sfs, rename it 'racy_5.3.sfs'
And replace a true 'racy_5.3.sfs with it,
all is Racy on the partition, intirdgz too
Hard to me to explain, I am French, don't forget. I often use screenshots to explain, sorry for that..
Native english speaking citizens explain it here :
how to switch the kernels

I don't change anything in polarpup. One should see no difference on screen. Excepted that I connect wireless very easily. A bib big difference, as i am 600 kms far from my box.

Almost certainly... that said, what works, works. If you like it, use it ;) that's (a big part of) the point of Puppy!

the iso grows from 218 to 255MB with IWLWIFI

#502 Post by Pelo »

PolarQt ant Tharpup : polarQT is nicely 'worked' tahrpup 2015 can get the same result. i aim to renew PolarQT Lucid in PolarQt tahrpup.
It should be quite easy.
About IWLWIFI libs i am a little be surprised tah the iso grows from 218 to 255MB with it.

Of course, lots of people do not need the QTMindMap utility because they have
no mind to map!

Me, for example! Do I need QTMindMap? Nah, I have no mind!
