Beem. Starting with new fresh install and creating new small savefile is probably best after your experimenting.

I started clementine from the menu and it seems to run without a problem.
So if I see other ill effects or other issues, I might indeed recreate a fresh save file.
But soon, you will have a new polar. Then a fresh save file is created anyway.

Yeah. It looks like it is difficult to be without producing something. I have feeling that this woof build is quite good one. So major improvents in woof, new applications and updated Qt4 apps is reason to the next update.

Looking forward to it, altho gstreamer libs seem to nibble quite some of the save file.
For the moment from my 31MB save file I only have 7MB left.
Altho I did define it as a 32MB file It seems to be in reality 31MB.
In other puppy's it defined as 32MB and in reality 32MB also.

I also have the impression that if deletes are done in the save file freememapplet has difficulties to reflect the change.
But I think I have this also in some other puppy's.

"Anyway. The savefile eater is Jamendo.db in /root/.config/Clementine folder. Also Icecast stations database takes about 15 Mb when you update the full list. But Jamendo.db takes 150 Mb. I moved whole /root/.config/Clementine folder to the /mnt/home and symlinked it back. Seems to work."

works here as well. good one thanks

cpu temp tray thing when hover over shows "click for 'top' " clicking does nothing.

Jim, pemasu took the 32-bit binary I suppose.
You can download the source and compile to your liking.
Top doesn't work either for me and I don't have the CPU speed either.
But I have the temperature and CPU usage.

Yes. I think it needs recompile from source. I think that clarf has made some modifications to source. There is small gatotray thread somewhere in this forum.
I have cpu frequency showing. I think I havent ever seen top working.

Indeed I think quite some people reported that top didn't work.
As for the CPU speed, should be something in my machine as some others have it.
However hardinfo reports the speed.

missing something here? needs 32-bit binaries to show the temperature in Fahrenheit? seems odd it can show in Celsius and not require them.

This wm crossbreeding is fascinating. Beem installs e17 to every distro which swallows it. Billtoo spreads WM message and who knows what wm will be next, lol.

Nice. Looks good.

It's odd that preferences don't permit selection C versus F.
But I am quite happy with Celsius.

I made pets of audacious 3.0.1 and it's dependencies in polarpup005.
All 4 pets need to be installed for audacious to work.

After installing the pets you need to open the terminal and run
fixmenus, then exit the terminal restart x.

audacious plays audio cds and ogg files but not mp3 files.

Wow !! Thank you Billtoo. There surely is not lack of media players now in Polarpup. I will check your pets and I will probably create unified pet of them and upload them to the repo, I need to check first that there is no overlapping libs.
Thanks. Highly appreciated as always with your great compiles.

It is time to add more Qt apps. First little funny app to create some word or sentences in different rotations to the printed page. It creates pdf of the result, which you can print.

Next one is for Billtoo...or other WindowMaker user. Automatic wallpaper changer from many different locations.
Wally-2.4.2

http://qt-apps.org/content/show.php/Wally?content=87798

JWM user get only /root/.wally folder where you can see changing wallpapers.
I got it taking contact to the Deviant art by giving in settings some search parameter for the app. I used wallpaper search parameter. Really intuitive.

Those who have WindowMaker, XFCE4 or Fluxbox installed in Polarpup, can try the real wallpaper changing properties. Not sure if this really works in Puppies. Anyway...It was easy compile.

I tried the wally pet but it wouldn't work with Window Maker.
I use rxvt to change wallpaper with the command:
wmsetbg -u -S -w (number of workspace) filename.jpg
I have 9 different wallpapers in polar pup, 19 in wary :)

I did a full install of polar pup to my newest netbook and it's
working great.

This one has an 11.6" screen so polar pup works nice on it and with
the proprietary ati driver installed it's even better.

Thanks for polar pup, it's a multimedia bonanza :)
