Hello Muggins,
I don't know if you're aware but the latest qucs is up to v0.16.
Muggins don't forget Legacy OS 2 is based on Puppy 2.14 with glibc 2.5 from Puppy 3.01
I just try and get the most compatible version for Legacy hence 0.14

John,

forum member WN2A has version 0.16 in this thread.

It definitely works, (after install of QT3 pet), in p301. Unable to confirm with legacyOS2 as my lappie no like.

The only thing I'm not sure about, with WN2A's pet, is that it has quite a few static libraries sitting in /root directory, which bulk up it's size. If it works OK 4 you, perhaps you could cull them?

Hello Muggins,
Yes 0.16 does install and works, anyone who needs QUCS and hasn't installed my 0.14 version can use 0.16.
If you have already installed 0.14 installing 0.16 and choosing it from the menu under network will start my version, sorry!
To start 0.16 navigate to /usr/local/bin and click qucs

Thanks Muggins for this link. If you know of any other app that runs in Puppy 3 and want to share please post here and I'll test. Thanks

Hello those with 16:9 ratio E-Book Readers. If like me you get annoyed by the fact that the screen ratio is wrong and should really be 4:3 to read PDF magazines install this application (Briss) to crop a bit off each side so it fits on the screen better.

You'll find the link to download at start of Post, enjoy!

Unzip the briss.tar.gz file to / as per normal.

Reload the Menu and find app under Office

Being able to convert 1 or more at once SVG images to PNG is important. This Magic Scripts "Script" will do just that!

Unzip the SVG2PNG.tar.gz file to / as per normal.

Hello singlshot,
As meownplanet.com which hosts my packages has been hack currently access to my extra's in on hold. russoodle who owns meownplanet.com gratefully hosted Legacy's extra's at no charge. Out of respect I'm waiting to see if this get resolved soon. Sadly If nothing changes in the next few weeks I'll have to make other arrangements to allow access to extra's.

As most of the Extra Games that were hosted at meownplanet have found their way in to Legacy OS 2.1 Gamer anyone wanting them can simply download the iso :D

Ethernet Driver for Dell Dimension 4500 (2002 vintage)

John,
My PM to you has stayed in the Outbox, not the Sentbox, so I am repeating my request here, perhaps inappropriately.
I work for a school dept. & donate mostly Dell computers to needy (AKA poor) children.
I had a Dell Dimension 4500 (from 2002) given to me. While I have Wary running on it fine, none of the modules included in LegacyOS 2.14 will activate the "Sundance Technology Inc. IC Plus Corp IC Plus IP1000 Family Gigabit Ethernet" interface that it has in it. Naturally you haven't included 'make' on the CD. Just grabbing the ipg.ko from Wary(kernel 2.6.31.4) didn't work. I imagine I would have to hunt up a 2.6.18.1 kernel with headers installed in order to make the correct ipg.ko myself.

Could you compile it from: http://www.icplus.com.tw/driver-pp-IP1000A.html

I know as a Pentium 4 it is not exactly w/i your intended audience but with its built in ton of apps, I feel it would be a great to install on donations.

If you can help, Thanks. Even if you can't, thanks for a great distro in any case!
