Hello :) I'm new to forum posting but I've been using Puppy for about 2 years now and my puppy enthusiasm continues to grow. I was wondering if there is any interest in having antivirus perhaps as a quickpet option in a future version. It would be very nice to pop a live cd into a windows machine and show all the viruses and their locations-a nice way to convert family and friends. Thanks for all the hard work!

1. I use avast4workstation-1.0.8.pet

This is an on-demand scanner.
You specify what you want scanned [mounted Windows partition?], and watch as it flashes through the scanning of what you've specified.
Lists whatever has been fixed.

2. There's a fix for difficulty experienced when attempting to up-date the virus database, prior to scanning, when running the program.
Read posts prior to, through, and following this post.

3. Go here for your registration code.
Avast! will send you an email that includes the code.
The 1st time you run the program you will need to enter [copy-and-paste] the code into the window that appears.
You can then proceed to use the program.
