SolidPup 5.1.1-B Lite and OBXF
You have build solid Pups. And the look has been really good in them. Yes, I have used your great themes when I have updated themes. Thank you of them, they have looked really great.
And never say never again. Take a break and when things give you more time, contribute or give feedback more actively again.
Thank you of what you have done so far.

Pemasu,
I can't say that the icewm themes are truly mine; they were a mix-mash of other themes which I hacked together. I do intend to improve my theme-making skills in icewm so that I can have some which I can truly call my own.

Firefox-6.0 SFS
I have made a 16MB SFS of Firefox-6.0. I have tested it in both Slickpup and Solidpup, so it should also be compatable with Lucid and Wary.
The download link is on the first post of this thread.

Hoven,
To mount a SFS file, right-click on it, and choose SFS-Exec or SFS-Load.
SFS-Load is more reliable, while SFS-Exec is faster when it works.
To be honest, I do not know to mount an ISO file. I still consider myself to be a linux newbie.
May I ask for what reason one would wish to mount an ISO? If you wish to see the contents of the ISO or extract it, what I do is right-click on the ISO, choose "Open With" and choose ISOMaster.
Update: Oh yes, I realize now that mounting an iso allows you to see it's contents. I previously, used ISOMaster for this purpose, but left-clicking on the ISO is much easier.
The Final versions of SolidPup have this left-click option for both ISO and SFS files.

I have packaged Firefox 7.0 and Seamonkey 2.3.3 generic builds into SFS format. They both work in Solidpup and Slickpup, so they should be fine in Wary and Lucid Puppy as well. They can be downloaded here: http://www.smokey01.com/Tman/apps/

Thanks singlshot,
I did the best I could with my current level of experience. I am still a rookie developer and there's a lot of things I still need to improve upon but I am glad that you like it. If any current user has fixed any bugs experienced in this puplet; providing the solution or pointing the way would be greatly appreciated. I actually use SlickPup as my main puplet, but I won't forget this one completely. I do plan to make newer versions; but for now I am slowing down the release time between versions. I am thinking every 4-6 months per release as a time frame.

This was posted way back in July, but I think I have found the answer:hoven wrote:How do you mount iso and sfs files with Solidpup? (I know how to do it with commandline). In the normal Puppy double clicking on the file in Rox will mount it. Also, I'm not sure but I thought Thunar normally allowed the same thing.

Solidpup 5.1.1 final
I've decided to get back on the saddle and work on another puplet..well not a brand new one.
I felt that I had left SolidPup sort-of unfinished, so I decided to work on it some more.
This will probably be the final release for version 5.1.1. It should be ready in a couple weeks. There will be a lot of changes.

The final version is not yet complete, but I decided to upload a beta version for users to try.
There have been many changes to the previous release, including updated apps, themes and under-the-hood stuff.
The default window-manager is Icewm with Openbox + Fbpanel as an alternative.
I still want to add some more things..a few wifi drivers, some more updates, and I want to replace fbpanel with tint2.
Abiword and Gnumeric are out, but I've added Get-GnomeOffice, which installs them easily.
Also, Get-Internet Apps allows you to install the latest, Flashplayer, Firefox, Opera, and/or Seamonkey.
enjoy!

I just updated Flashplayer to version 11.1.102.55.
If you're in the new SolidPup, just go to Get Internet Apps in the menu and select flashplayer.
It will download and install over the old flashplayer automatically.
To see your current installed version, go here.

Hi Tman
Using SolidPup now - luv it - really smooth and very nicely put together.
Still getting familiar with everything - but so far, all looks good.
In fact - 1st impressions - absolutely fantastic.
Running manual frugal to sda5 ext2 and a 500mb swap partition.
Booting via grub4dos.
10yr old Acer laptop - TravelMate 243LC
256mb ram, 2.5Ghz celeron proc.
Many thanks for this and very best regards - Ray

Thanks Ray,
If anyone notices any bugs, please let me know. I will try to fix whatever ones I can find before the final release. I found 2 so far..Rox freezes when exploring the /proc folder (Thunar is OK) , and I forgot to remove the old get-flashplayer portion inside of delayedrun.
I haven't compiled any wifi drivers yet, so I will have to do some research first.

Very nice puppy. I'm glad to see that you have avoided
Wary 5.2 which I find buggy.
Here are some suggestions:
1) Add a link named 'top' connected to htop
2) Add a link named 'nicoedit' so that scripts that use
nicoedit (such as dir2pet) will open with some texteditor
3) Some Rox Filer Bookmarks would be nice.
Just make a file called
/root/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer/Bookmarks.xml
I took these from pemasu's Exprimo
My program Quick Launch can use these Bookmarks.

You should check psnapshot
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 17&t=70996
It integrates everything together, but it
needs a folder called 'Screenshots' in
/root/puppy-reference

Ooops I am way behind everybody else
Too late almost.
I share this surprise.
using double click. My fingers fail to do such fast repeating of movement.
So how do I change it to single click .
I know how to in Rox but does Ice have Rox?
Okay I test it before I go to bed or tomorrow.

Oh that is very bad. I am too old to be able to get anything goingdesktop icons needed double clicking . . .
Why? (OK I think I know why)

I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

nooby,
In my latest release, I have reset rox and thunar for single clicking...it is the puppy way,
But if you are in another pup and want to change it, it's not that hard...
In Rox-Filer, right-click in the window and choose options. Actually, I'll just add some screenshots.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...
1st pic is for single-clicking inside of the ROX-Filer windows...and the 2nd pic is for single-clicking of icons on the desktop.
This is not an insult...I urge you to experiment. If you break puppy, just reboot in clean mode or in another pup and remove your savefile.
I always keep a backup copy of my save file. There were so many times I broke Windows...but that's how I learned how to fix it.
Same thing goes with Puppy. A lot of the stuff you learn by trial and error. Don't be afraid..if you don't try, you don't learn.
I recommend you fool around with the software and not be afraid.
One exception would be. don't try flashing the bios if your scared of the consequences.
I have flashed my bioses several times with success, but one time I bricked one of my computers..
but I built it out of cheap parts anyway. And after, I built a better one.
