You could buy a better laptop than that for the same price brand new it doesn't even got a hd in it. Saying that there's really no way to tell being that Alienwares are all custom made and so I couldn't tell you what video card is inside of it , I do know that the model you are referring to went all the way up to a Nvidia GeForce Go7800GTX but that definitely isn't the case here in this one that you are referring to.

I believe I answered this same question before when someone asked it if you would have searched you'd have probably found it. I would recommend any laptop that has at least a 9200gs nvidia card but that's actually a pretty low end card nowadays and is what my old work laptop uses that i'm typing on now. All of HP's entertainment laptops come with great graphics cards in them and they start from like low 600's

I am personally waiting on the amd bobcat/bulldozer to go into the mainstream market... they should be in the $4-600 range with better power using less power.

I have been researching netbooks for the last 2 years i think. Reading reviews and trying to try some out. I hope to try some more models soon and to buy one. Would my recommend netbooks list be useful to you?

from your last post i see that netbooks are not out of the question
here's a netbook i was thinking of buying
http://www.amazon.com/Acer-AO522-BZ465- ... 004PYD7AC/
the processor outperforms any intel atom that i'm aware of (and it only uses 7w), and the video card is not horrible i guess, better than most netbooks
and it has a ddr3 slot => cheap ram upgrade
not sure if that card is opengl compatible
i'm running one of these, depending on what you mean by inexpensive laptop you could consider it
