I installed Puppy Tahrpup 6.0 CE PAE version on a Dell Latitude D560 laptop and puppy installed and worked to perfection as usual, but the wifi light will not stop flashing.
I read this help http://www.tomdesair.com/blog/2012/04/s ... -in-linux/ and it sounds like the right solution, however I can't seem to find the wlan.conf file it's talking about in the puppy etc directory.
Can anyone advise me on this?
Thanks in advance
WiFi Light Flashing :(
hi ermak,
the post says to create the file if it doesn't exist....
so right click, then new, then file and call it wlan.conf .... then open it in geany... and add the suggested lines.
then reboot

If you still can't get this matter resolved and dont want to use wireless, there is also the rfkill command (you may need to modprobe rfkill) that may be able to stop the light flashing, if the light flashing reflects attempts to access the network rather than just indicating the connection is not active.
