Resize and encrypt existing savefile?

1) I regret making my savefile so big. I want to shrink it. So, is it really not possible?

2) I regret not selecting the option to have it encrypted. Can I change that? Can I "convert" the existing savefile so it is encrypted?

Hmmm. Toporesize says it can shrink them. I wonder if it does this via the standard tools or if the secret is in that c file it includes...

I'm pretty sure I've seen a simple command you can run to encrypt an existing save file... I imagine you can't be running from it at the time.
Unfortunately I don't know the command. Have you searched for it?

You could always create a new save file and copy the contents of the old one into it...
