How to remaster Puppy CD with wmv9 support?

#1 Post by CrazyJ32 »

Is there a way to create a puppy live disc with wmv 9 support?

If so how? :x

It might help to give a link to the home page of wmv 9.

For Windows Media codec 9 you need to use the windows binary codec (.dll), and place it in /usr/lib/win32. There is a convenient package containing this codec at the MPlayer site, called the "essential codecs package" -

MU has put together some DotPup packages which include the essential codecs package -

If you have a pupfile, the codec pack files you install will be persistent, so you don't necessarily need to remaster.
But if you want to remaster, this topic is covered elsewhere on the forum.
