I try to connect a Mustek USB scanner.

I have installed sane_backend-1.0.15
I have added in /etc/rc/d/rc/local the line:
modprobe scanner

When I reboot, the scanner is recognized, lsmod shows scanner listed, ...

What is next?

I tried to press any button on the scanner, nothing happens.
Do I need to start a program? Which?

bye

Did you install Xsane?
You should be able to just run Xsane and the scanner module should also get automatically loaded.
