I wanted a small note taking app that sat in the task bar for when needed. I found gnotes as a portable app here http://portablelinuxapps.org/ but couldn't get it to autostart. I looked in the lupu ppm and found it in the ubuntu repo. downloaded it and its deps and made a pet for myself, which includes a startup entry. I've only tried this in lupu 520.
