Vostro with Broadcom Wifi

#1 Post by pupforme »

First of all this is the first puppy that understands the video chipset and started flawlessly. :D

Sadly not true for the Wifi. :cry:
the laptop has Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)
Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n [14e4:4365] (rev 01)
I have tried some PETs from previous ubuntu based releases but no joy.

on my ubuntu the driver is driver=wl0 driverversion=6.30.223.141 (r415941)

666philb has now put the drivers in the repository so they should be available by the Package Manager or Quickpet facilities.

Be sure to pick the correct one for the kernel version you have installed - either 3.14.20-pae or 3.14.20-nopae
ImageLxPup = Puppy + LXDE
Main version used daily: LxPupSc; Assembler of UPups, ScPup & ScPup64, LxPup, LxPupSc & LxPupSc64
