I have tried some PETs from previous ubuntu based releases but no joy.
on my ubuntu the driver is driver=wl0 driverversion=6.30.223.141 (r415941)

Be sure to pick the correct one for the kernel version you have installed - either 3.14.20-pae or 3.14.20-nopae
