plugin for HP laserjet P1005

I've installed Lucid Puppy 5.20 with hpijs-3.10.6-dynppd.pet for HP printer support. The HP officejet 6000a seems to set up without a problem (except that I'm out of ink at the moment,) but the HP laserjet P1005 requires a proprietary plugin. I found the plugin on Open Printing.org. Now I have a problem. The instructions I see for Ubuntu tell me to use hp-setup, which doesn't seem to be part of the pet. How do I get the driver to use the proprietary plugin? |

The preferred driver for these non-standard Laserjets is foo2xxx. See Item #13. |

Once I installed foo2XXX, selected the correct driver in CUPS and rebooted, it came up and loaded 'firmware'. After that it worked without obvious problems. Note: I used foo2xxx_r220909-0.0-i486.pet |
