Epson Perfection 1670 scanner: will it work in Puppy?

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

Epson Perfection 1670 scanner: will it work in Puppy?

I have an epson perfection 1670 scanner which I have been able to use with mepis via a vuescan software trial to activate the scanner and gimp to acquire the image. vuescan can't find the scanner in puppy. since I have sane , I thought that scanning might be a doable. please advise. thanks to all
