I long for to get Make Human program to work with Puppy Lupu or Slacko
or FatDog. Or even with Linux Mint live but it says it miss certain files in lib?
link to their home page http://www.makehuman.org/

nooby.

http://www.makehuman.org/content/download_alpha_7.html
python 2.7 Tarball for i386 linux using python 2.7 (for example Ubuntu versions greater than 10.04)
The above version runs on slacko 5.6.3 (the recent CE version).
Just unpack the downloaded file, enter the directory and open a terminal.

Code: Select all

./makehuman
will get you going. It does throw up some errors, but the program runs.
I've got the devx installed which may contain some of the needed libs.

Keef much appreciated I have to test it. I have older slacko
so will update that one then first. I downloaded the amd64 version
due to me have HP/Compaq 64 bit X2 CPU hope that is the one to use
or else I try the 32 bit too but I test this tomorrow night have to go to bed now.

Do I need to have the Dev version? Or the standard

nooby,

As Slacko is 32 bit, you need the 32 bit version of the software.
I think all you will need to do is download the devx_sfs for Slacko 5.6 (if that's the version you have).
The readme on the download site says:
The devx for the 4g-NON-PAE version is devx_slacko_5.6.sfs
The devx for the PAE version is devx_slacko_5.6.0.sfs
The sfs_manager in Slacko will grab the correct version for you.
This is just to get the python stuff. Then get the Make Human version I mentioned.

Pelo

Vincent Vanpup, for painters

MyPaint is the main application included in Vincent Vanpup, for painters
Take a glance at it, we are missing users. This Puppy runs pretty well. MyPaint is availble as pet and SFS, but is not so easy to install. In Vanpup, work has been done by Starhawk (and greengeek for final touch)

I'd like to see tree incorporated into ROX-filer's right-click menu. At least, how about a .pet that does that?
