Woof Archlinux to Solve Puppy's Package Management problems Subject description: Lead-in to discussion under "Suggestions" Thread
Puppy has been referred to as a Kennel. I love it, but it is not, in fact, one distribution but rather a bunch of related operating systems. Each may be fine, but unless you're content to rely on only the "official" repository for your version, adding applications is --contrary to Puppy's Mission Statement-- not particularly Newby Friendly. And "upgrading" one's system really doesn't exist.
