Hi Gposil released a version of Dpup last year and well it has stalled, And I was looking for a version of puppy to install on laptop for my kids, they mostly need a version with flash that works well. Well I tried a few version and 2.14X and Dpup worked, So basically time for Dpup to be improved, Gposils version was an early, early stage alpha release, I've spent a lot of hours fixing the backend and Compiler, So here's a later release, If you can find, submit fixes all the better :)
My updates I'm manually editing the iso image, So this won't be a woof port. Like 2.14X :)

there's some extra apps below and I'll upload the compiler tomorrow.

Also It comes with 2 Browsers Seamonkey and Firefox for testing flash etc 135MB with 2 browsers, not bad :)

This thing flies......... :)

First "bug".....Abiword won't launch. Tried to launch from terminal...see pic.

Everything else at least launches from the icon.

Internet, sound and display all working correctly on initial boot and after reboot.

Um, latest gposil's dpup was version 484 it was much more stable and bugless then the release you're working on... had 2.6.30.* kernel if I remember well.

Downloaded and installed the missing lib from the Lenny repo........took care of that little problem. :)

I still have installs of the last 477 release with this kernel and the last 484 with 2.6.30.5 on the old P3 test box.Seems like this retro kernel works pretty well on some older equipment.

Installed a couple of pets so PPM appears to be working. Played PupTV fullscreen with Gxine....seemed fine.

SeaMonkey 1.1.14........ hadn't seen that one in a while.

Hi James I guess I should of checked abiword, I never really use it, Geany is my best friend :), never get much time to actually use puppy for anything else than building stuff and doing web stuff.
Thanks for the bug checking and yes I like this kernel, it does preform rather nicely and works well with Xorg and the 2 browsers include.

I already removed/fixed most of the bugs and this kernel runs great on my pc's, tested on 4 out of 5 of them I have networked together, Couldn't test it on the 5th, its a Mac :)

Awesome! 8) Downloading iso but got this for the devx:
You don't have permission to access /ttuuxxx/Dpup/SFS/dpup_devx_476d.sfs on this server.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /ttuuxxx/Dpup/SFS/dpup_devx_476d.sfs on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

But the iso did dl in 24 seconds so tubeguys is the iso too big for you to dl on that line something. Or you need the dev part most likely?

It booted but failed to get my atheros AR81 so most likely I have to download that pet for that series. Pemasu gave link in another thread but I have forgotten to make a bookmark for it.

This release has the older 2.6.27.4 kernel so any drivers will need to be the correct kernel.

Thanks pemasu told me this too in another thread. I where too naive.

The driver I need is atl1e but I will not use Dpup in the version you have.

I also have dpup-009.iso squeese I guess it is iguleder that made that one. Not sure though due to that one using SeaMonkey 2.08 1024x600 I don't like either.

Snow Puppy and Fluppy and Mijnpup works best for me on my Acer D250
