This one I made myself (based on Phlat).
Mondrian is more colourfull, inspired by the famous artist Piet Mondrian
Full size:

Download (268 kb):

The backgroundpicture is in /usr/share/backgrounds, so you will just see it in the "middleclick-Desktop-background-list" when you exit X and run Enlightenment again.

Tried to install enlightenment - I would like to replace jwm with it.
Downloaded the 'enlightenment for puppy' pup and 'enlightenment MU's config' pup files.
Installed them the order as above. Restarting 'xwin enlightenment' dropped back to prompt.
xerrs file says:
...
enlightenment: error while loading shared libraries: libesd.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
...
Have I done a mistake?
This library belongs to esd sound I guess. What additional pup file should I download ?
Any help appreciate .

Yes it works fine, but littlebit strange for me.
We have to know each other first.
Anyway, I like very much the backgrounds and themes.
Well done!

hi am very new to puppy and the whole linux thing, it's been fun to learn something new, but ive downloaded the enlightenment.pup, and i run the lil installer that comes with puppy 1.0.8 and i type "xwin enlightenment" at a prompt and i get some kind of error. Can somebody walk me through the installation of enlightenment.
p.s. " "xwin jwm" works fine for me.
is there a thread that explain how to install the things like icewm cuz that doesn't work either.

install these, too:
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Multimedia/libesd.so.0.2.36.pup
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/XServer/DRI/OpenGL-B.pup
Then open a consolewindow, and type
enlightenment
This might report more errors or not.
If no more errors come about "missing ...", then exit X and type
xwin startenlightenment
or
xwin enlightenment
You can test icewm the same way, run
icewm
in a consolewindow, and look if it says something about "missing".
If something misses, post the message here (select with the mouse, then middleclick in a Forumposting to paste it).

icewm should work ... it is just 1 executable file, and should not need any extra library files ... and if the configuration files are missing, it should start anyway ... it should start if you kill X (for example, press ctrl+alt+backspace) then type:
startx icewm
if it does not start, there might be error messages in /tmp/xerrs.txt ... you can view the file by typing:
more /tmp/xerrs.txt
or
cat /tmp/xerrs.txt
or
mp /tmp/xerrs.txt

I think Enlightenment may require you to be using Xorg rather than XVESA. You can change that using the Setup X Video Wizard.
