one set of apps that run on wary, racy, slacko, lupu etc.

#1 Post by HiDeHo »

I have a multiboot usb hdd setup booting many different puppy versions. What would be handy is to have one set of apps that will work on different puppies (mainly wayr, racy, slacko, lupu). it would save some space on the drive.
A good way would be to have an .sfs files that can run on all puppy versions.

at the moment there are a couple of ways i know to achieve running one set of apps both arnt native to puppy but work.

Wine & portable apps: i have done this and it works great.
  1. first you need to install wine. wine is for running windows applications
  2. install the Portable apps menu click here
  3. install your portable apps click here
Links relating to portable apps in the forums.
