Puppy 2 Install compatable?

When Pup2 is done is he going to be install compatable? I mean having the same 3 files (vmlinuz, usercram and image.gz) and reading the existing .sfs files so I can just copy them over my old ones (poor man's install) and be good to go. Will I have to delete my pup001 and start over?

Basically yes, it is just a matter of replacing the files. There is expected to be an update script for reading the pup001 file and creating the new one, which is named pup_save.3fs.
